This program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment, focusing on network monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and operational support. You will learn from experienced professionals and gain valuable insights into the world of network infrastructure and client service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the 24/7 monitoring of network devices and services, learning to identify alerts and anomalies.
  • Shadow experienced NOC Operators and Network Engineers to understand initial troubleshooting steps for network incidents.
  • Learn to document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
  • Support the team in managing and resolving basic network-related tickets, focusing on clear communication.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop foundational knowledge of networking concepts and tools.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks related to network operations.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized network operations environment.
  • Observe and learn about client interactions and the importance of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with team members on various operational tasks and projects.

  • Gain foundational knowledge and practical experience in network monitoring and operations.

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate with a strong interest in Information Technology, or currently enrolled in a university program related to IT, Computer Science, or Networking.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems and a keen interest in how networks function.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Any prior exposure to IT concepts, networking, or relevant school projects will be an advantage.
